Hi

I've been offered one cheap as it has a dead engine. No idea if it has chassis numbers to make it road legal...

Would a bigger engine be a direct replacement (125 or 140, not a 600)

If it doesn't have chassis numbers would it be easy to obtain?

Cheers

More hassle than it is worth, aim to buy road legal ones, saves the hassle.

Save yourself the heartache and buy a road legal 'spares and repairs' to fix up.

What about fitting an electric motor instead of engine?! Weld in a car battery mount and a decent AC motor and off you go Laughing

Well. It's off one of the in laws who bought it off a mate. They all like their cars and do track days and stuff. Bike is a non runner. Part of me thinks it's legit as they're all into fiddling with bits but yea, I dunno Laughing

If it's legit then why doesn't it have the frame number?

With Mini motos I'd agree. But every on and offroad pit I've owned has had one, or at least had evidence to suggest that it did have one at some point.

I paid £99 for mine brand new. £50 with no engine doesn't sound too good a deal

Chucked it out when the frame snapped when a fat bloke had a go
