which has no gearbox, would i be able to strip it down to the , and put my running gear in?, my engine is fine except these little stickey out things which hold my engine on got snapped off by the chain. i dont really want to get it alloy welded, as i have to strip the engine down, for it not to mess up the gaskets, and it would be a bodge i think. I would rather just replace the crankcase. Could this be done?

Well I'm not hornet expert, but assuming that is just a hornet engine missing its gearbox, you could put your gearbox into it.

However, on most bikes you need to split the cases to fit a new gearbox, which means lots of new gaskets and a full and complicated engine stripdown/rebuild.
