Hi im new , been lurking for a while , but not anymore.

I was wondering I have a 125 gz marauder. To which I use to commute 20 miles aday and on my days off go to snowdonia for hiking ect.

I have brought some non - fango hard panniers for when I go hiking prefer hard over soft security and all I have fitted then they make her arse look really big :/ .
But I will only use these when I go hiking and camping. My question is do you think my bike would look stupid with a topbox on it . Ive searched the net there isn't a rear rack for this bike just a pillion back rest . So my plan was to attach it to pillion seat and keeping it there permanent , for carrying my knives to work ect.

So will a topbox look stupid on a cruiser

thanks in advance

James

A top box attached to a cruiser will look stupid, but the cruiser looks stupid without a top box attached. Razz

More helpfully, it wouldn't matter to me. If you need a top box then you need a top box. I'd be thinking about if there might be more suitable bikes for attaching luggage to but that's something to consider for the future.

so for now I want to use it . And to be honest I quite like the look of cruisers im just not sold on the leather saddle bags and tool rolls lol.

I just want to know if other bikers will point and laugh at me lol. Or shall I just keep the solid panniers on full time

I'd defo choose a topbox on your bike over panniers. top boxes are more convenient imo.

No one of any value will care about your topbox/cruiser combination.

Who cares what others think?

It's more practical for you, therefore less stressful for you, therefore more enjoyment for you!

Looks are usually a main factor in buying a bike, but sometimes (and in this case only on hiking occasions) you have to sacrifice a bikes good looks for practicality.

Dont worry about others, ride for your own comfort and enjoyment
