I was looking at the derestriction guide and my exhaust looks nothing like the 1 in the pic, the one in the pic is quite big, mine has a little tiny metel tube type thing at the end??

You need to be looking in the end which you connect to the outlet from the engine, not the end which the exhaust fumes some out from.
