Try washing the lining inside ? Should help a bit

Or buy new lining to go inside that's tighter

Can't say I had any issue with my HJC, in fact I had the opposite, I hoped it would loosen up more than it did.

Could maybe buy a balaclava to go under the helmet?

Take the padding out and give it a good plumping out like a pillow, then leave it unattached a couple of days, lets them reshape and expand a bit usually.

Its just winter head shrinking syndrome, it will be ok in the summer. Just wear one of them terrorist balaclavas under it till then.

Does your nose push against the inside of the visor at speed?

If so. You need a new and different helment.

If not, stop worrying. It doesn't help in a crash as much as you think it does and there is nothing worth protecting in there anyway. Try not to crash in the first place.

You certain its non removable? We have two HJC lids in the house, both different models and both have fully removable lining.

I was thinking if it was removable you might be able to pack it or a bit with something behind the limit. Might even be able to buy bigger lining.

I know. Put it on, close the visor and spray a load of expanding foam in through one of the air vents.

I have a HJC and the lining is removable. Then again I've had mine for at least two years and my head doesn't rattle around inside it.

Obviously this doesn't mean that every HJC is the same though, did you go for one on the lower end of the range? Mine cost quite a lot because I wanted the retractable sunglasses Cool

hair cut was about 2 days into owning the lid so not enough time to ruin it for life, i popped out yesterday so used my old 2008 lid instead which is a lot worse but come this morning my hjc fitted better... seems i have extremely shit foam inside.

The sponge padding will reform to the factory size but the polystyrene fill (working impact absorbing part of the helmet) will not reform as much when the cells are crushed.

Padding it will make it a better fit but you loose a tiny amount of impact absorbing margin.

I had an HJC and never bought another as it fell to bits over six months. Since then I have owned Shoei, Arai, Nolan, Schuberth. Schuberth has been best over three years and still fits my misshaped nugget.
