Well my biking days are over till I'm 18 in July.
Started the bike this morning to go to work, headed off as usual until I came to the usual dual cross road.. only to notice both my brakes have failed me and had no way to stop, so if a car was coming, thank god one wasn't, would of happily been T-Boned to death
Push home wasn't nice, neither was the bus.
So plan now is to sell the bike for a project or a fun off roader for £250, bought for £450 with over £100 spent fixing it up, hopefully someone might want to do the scrap up.
I'd guess my brakes frozen since I rode it home at 1am last night with no problems and suddenly this morning they were complete 0% braking, probably need bleeding but I'm done with the Chinese hunk of
Plan is when I'm 18 I'm going to finance a bike brand new (let the hate commence on me) but tbh I wouldn't mind, would be my bike and I'd know all history of it since I'd be its 1st rider unlike mine, someone could of put their dick down the exhaust I don't know, twat. ____________________ Motorcycle riding can be really cozy. If you want to be a little closer to your passenger, brake a little quicker for the next stop. |

Are they hydraulic brakes? If so they can't "freeze" in the literal sense. You seem to have enjoyed learning the basics on that thing? Why don't you now learn how hydraulic brakes work? If the pistons have seized whip the calipers off and give em a fiddle. That's free! and brake fluid is like 8 quid for 500 ml!! Give it a go over the winter ____________________ I'm Sam; Northern, Ginger, Lover

As much as I agree with you I said to myself about 2 months ago "When this thing next fucks up that's when I'm done" So I've rode it out till it gives no more, now I can fully focus on getting a lovely new bike, just my option really, honestly do not want the bike at all ____________________ Motorcycle riding can be really cozy. I never said I was a great mechanic, I will happily admit I didn't do much to the bike.
Find it quite odd that it was working last night when I parked, but not at all the next morning, 6 hours later to be exact ____________________ Motorcycle riding can be really cozy. If you want to be a little closer to your passenger, brake a little quicker for the next stop. |

Reminds me of when my brake lines popped off in my old car, coming up to a red light on a roundabout.
To this day I still don't know how I missed all oncoming traffic with no brakes. ____________________ Yamaha RXS 100 > Honda CD 250 > Honda Hornet 600 > Honda CBR 600RR > Yamaha RXS 100 > Kawasaki ZX6R J2 > Yamaha FZ1 |

the tmec enduro thing in your pic looks like quite a nice bike posher than the piece of shit ten previous owner h100 i had as a first bike, quit your winging and bleed the brakes it's not that hard.
we all have days where we've had enough but don't give into the shiny shiny finance brigade it's horrible being stuck in a finance deal much nicer to know you own what you ride. |

When are you 18? Do you have 30 minutes between then and now to have a look at the bike? Get it fixed and it might save you 100+ hours and £300+ as an alternative to getting public transport (Depending on your circumstances obviously)
If you don't commit yourself to this bike, why would you commit yourself to the next one?
New bike + cba attitude = massive devaluation ____________________ R1 |

Front Breaks faulty, possible rebuild necessary. (Been bled to not a single air bubble, no luck)
Rear Break Reservoir unaccessable to bleed due to ruined screws, needs drilling out.
Damaged Fairings, mainly most.
Bent Forks.
Throttle loose.
Electrics work but with issues.
Electric Starting motor does not turn at all.
Bars out of line with wheel.
Wheels need soon to be replacing (Will be very hard to find a pair, imported bike)
It's Chinese.
Make Shift Kick Stand.
Gear Box can grind a little.
Can only put into neutral when rolling to a stop, can't flick it up into it at a stop.
The Exhaust was drilled by previous owner, presuming to make it louder, will be an MOT failure.
Bars are bent.
Only good bits is the chain and sprockets which I put on myself.
Now someone tell me not to scrap it off and look for a new bike I'm not quite ready for a project as I would like a reliable bike like a CBF or a YBR 125 to get me to my job and college.

edit: so youre riding an unroadworthy bike.. and think when it nearly kills you.. you can write a thread. ____________________ GOOD GAME BODYGUARD: https://i.imgur.com/8WePGgf.jpg
