Hi all

I have somehow managed to break my TPS lever arm off the TPS unit itself.

Has anyone managed to fix one of these?

Below is a picture of a generic one

I'm thinking in this context maybe TPS = Throttle Position Sensor.

In which case can't imagine what/why you'd be playing with it to break it.

However, if TPS means something else please post. Thinking

Throttle Position Switch?
generic pic generic answer.

Repair usually depends on what, how and where a thing is broken
and if you can get it working reliably or if its better/safer to buy new

If the track or wiper is broken, dont bother
If its an external plasticky bit, you may get lucky

TPS... Yes it means throttle position sensor..
I would say replace it...any repair will never be as strong as original and its more than likely to fail when you least want it too..
having said that if your set on repairing it..get some good quality epoxy resin..the kind you mix together..I have repaired lots of things with it and if done properly is suprisingly strong..obviously the arm needs to move so dont overdo it..

See if you can find out if it's the same as a VFR800 A1 one. If so, I should have a spare.

thanks for that, but turns out its made the opposite way round.

Got one now off a CBR fireblade on ebay instead seeing that a repair isn't really going to work from all these comments.

Cheers for everyone's input

Unfortunately if the TPS unit is not refitted to provide the correct readings for both open and closed throttle positions, the bike will end up running like an Orangutan on Senokot.
