Would be funny if they can't find evidence if the US on the moon, no buggy, no module or debris.

Oh the conspiracy nuts would have a melt down.

Politics is all just a daft game.

Why? What's the point? So they've done a bunch of things that were done half a century ago. Why?

Why not work together, globally, on doing the next great thing? Ohhhh but jealousy, rivalry, hostility. Humans Rolling Eyes

Britain should get in on the moon game by putting something entirely unsuitable up there. Like a bottle bank, or an early model Ford Mondeo, or a rack of Barclays bikes, or a refrigerator on skis....

but then we should never tell anyone we put it there, so decades later the next humans to visit will be forever wondering just wtf it's doing there.

Keep the moon weird.

Spin-off techs maybe?

Plus maybe to change the pre-conceptions people have about China? Same as the Japanese and Koreans had to do in the 70s and 80s.

I half expect that while Europe and North America are still dicking around with under-unity fusion in the lab, China will one day mention "Oh, we've been shipping helium-3 in from the moon for our reactors and using them to make all those silly solar panels and wind turbines that you've been wasting your money on."
