If i bought a stolen recovered bike, fixed it up and put it on the road, would the bike have a higher insurance premium than if it hadn't been stolen. Also would it have to go on a 'Q' plate

Thanks

Adam

Hi

It should get a proper age related plate, but if it lands up on a Q plate then expect the insurance to be higher.

All the best

Keith

Hi,

The bike will have the same insurance premium but will payout 15% less if a claim is made. There is no reason for the bike to become a "Q" plate unless it needs to be re-registered or the frame changed. I have a very good contact in watford if you want a bike with cat c - d damage, pm me for details.
