log in to paypal itself, it may show a balance, an available balance and a withheld amount which is likely to be all of it.

A new account and seller with have this happen, this sum will be held for likely a month but if you click on the pending link it will tell you the release date.

Don't take my word for it though, log on and check.

Paypal is an utter bumhole.

You may have to wait - I've waited 6 weeks in the past for stuff to be posted because the seller hasn't recieved payment.

For new ebay members, and those with poor feedback paypal now hold your funds until you receive positive feedback from the buyer, or 21 days expire without a complaint.

They've altered the deal? Pray they don't alter it any further.

I paid for something through paypal yesterday and it asked if I wanted to pay after it had been delivered or immediately. That's a new one on me.

Oh yes.
The feedback, recorded item status nor anything else matters.

You now get a date, on that date you get your money.

Sellers shouldn't hold items until paypal stop buggering about, it is held in trust by paypal, send the item.

It's crap but we don't have a lot of choice.

You know, I think I'd rather just leave things out on the kerb with an honesty box than try to sell them through eBay and PayPal.

We’re always looking for ways to give you extra peace of mind and make you feel more secure when you shop online. That’s why you can now choose Pay After Delivery at checkout.

With Pay After Delivery purchases, we’ll pay the seller straightaway but will only take the money out of your bank account 14 days later. This gives you the time to receive the item before you pay. If the item doesn’t arrive or isn’t what you expected, you’re covered by PayPal Buyer Protection.

It’s easy to set up – just follow these simple steps:

1. Click ‘Agree and Sign Up Now’.
2. Sign in to your PayPal account.
3. You’ll receive a confirmation message to say you’ve activated Pay After Delivery.

Once you’ve signed up, you can then select Pay After Delivery next time you check out with PayPal*.

Got that email in November Thumbs Up

Can't see it makes any difference either way. Paypal will still have the money out of you one way or the other.
