Hey guys
After some advice on how much you think my 2000 cb600 is worth for spares or repairs. Bought it a couple of weeks ago and it smokes a bit but rides fine and I don't think it's drinking coolant at all.ive recently ordered a brand new cb600f in matt white.
Once new bike is delivered I will sell the 2000 cb600, don't know what it's worth and definetly don't want to try and rip someone off. It's weird because if I let the bike idle and get hot the smoke continues but if I ride it for 10 minutes it clears.
Any advice about how best to sell it honestly would be greatly appreciated . Thanks
Jason

The smoke I would say is a very light grey.the bike is in kesgrave ipswich suffolk
Also it's only done around 7000 miles.sat around for 6 years from 2005 to 2011 then lings had it up for sale in 2011 which the person I bought it from had purchased it. Was thinking that possibly the carbs need cleaning and balancing.

Im in the trade, id give around £300-400 depending on seeing it. Would expect similar money from most traders/breakers but obviously they will try and stitch you with a lower offer first lol

If a light grey / white 'smoke' then that sounds like steam and normal as condensation from the exhaust boils off, and the engine warms up. Especially at this time of year.

As to value, a quick look on Ebay at completed listings reveals no 2000 model bikes, but between 1999 and 2001 bikes the cheapest sold completed listing was for £800 with quite a few between £1000 and £1500.

All the best

Keith

Kickstart has a point there, stick your hand in the smoke and see if it gets damp.

That looks normal to me, mine looks far worse this time of year but it has always done it, and never drank coolant or oil.
