Seems pricey though.

4 grand.

Overweight and slow.

4 grand is serious sports bike money.

Nice bike, I'd have it for £2k, maybe even £2500. Perhaps if I was a reaaaalll Guzzi fan I'd stretch to £2999. but £4k? For that? No chance.

I just like its looks. I like the Moto Guzzi twins. But they've had that bike for ages. I'm thinking either its duff or the price puts people off even looking.

I agree the BMW would be an interesting buy but only if you have a nice garage to tidy it up in.

I'd spend £600 on an SV650 and the rest on something actually fun.
SV - similar sort of power, lot less weight, quite likely as good handling, despite the SV being lacking.

I got mine for 1150 and when I'm gonna sell it, I'm gonna ask 1400 with worn tires. Cool

Looks great. I like it. Way too much for it though. Go along, have a sit on it and make him an offer?

More recent one for even more money in Edinburgh

It must have far more character than a bloody SV650S, and I like the long reach almost café racer riding position on them. I agree that for £2.5k it would be a nice buy indeed, but £4k is far too much, as it would be for a mid 90's Ducati 900SS.

It's got to be more interesting and more fun than just another typical late mid-late 90's Jap 750 sports bike though, and I bet it would give you more smiles than a ZXR750, YZF750 or SRAD750 most of the time.

I'll happily do some gambling with you. How much are we putting down?

It's an Italian Shaft Drive Buell. I'd rather have that than a YZF750. Not because it's faster or better, just because I prefer that sort of bike.

YZF750 is my kind of bike. Because it's faster and better.

75kg more than an XB12, but less power - I wouldn't say the two are comparable. Is prettier, however.

Making slightly more power from a 1100 with a lot more weight - sure, some people like the vibes, but reminds me of my BMW (ok, it'll have better handling), which had 'character', but not in a good way.

'Character' is word people seem to use to describe anything that is heavy, has bad handling and is underpowered. Laughing

That CZ 250 looks just like my first ever bike. The nightmares had only just stopped and that pops up.

They are going for silly money. May be it because they are now selling new round the £15/17 K mark.
I brought a 4 year old ZZR 1400 Full service history. Under 10K on the clock. With extra's. For just a bit more than that. It's a case of what you want? And how much you want to pay. Keep an eye on E bay and see what the price's are there. But after saying that, there's not that many of them up for sale.
