I've owned my GSXR600 for nearly 2 weeks now after only ever previously owning an NSR125. Apart from the obvious power difference, some other differences I've noted.

I feel just going round bends, the gixxer is much more stable than my NSR ever was. Alot of bumps/cats eyes etc in the road which I used to feel in the NSR, I can no longer feel (not to the same extent anyway).

Riding on bridges/overtaking trucks, used to feel the wind push me on my NSR, still feel it on the gixxer but nowhere near as much.

In short, the bike generally feels a lot, lot safer, much more stable. I know this post is really stating the obvious, but just thought i'd share my views!

Go team!

Lets just hope you dont get banned for speeding in your cage before then.

That said, my step up onto the goose, i notice everything i hit a hell of a lot more. Catseyes, lines, bumps in the road etc, all cause it to have a little shuffle to the side. I dont care as ive rode a lot of motocross and such so i quite enjoy controlling slides and do it just sub consciously and only realise i slid after ive got it up fine again.
Erm also i am learning the bad point about acceleration....
thump throttle back + shitty surface = wheeeeeeeeeeeee sideways

As stated it doesnt bother me, and its just cos my tyres are shitty at the moment, which also leads to my lack of wheelying, as im almost 100% certain the back wheel just spins. At the moment unless i have a pillion (giving better weight distribution to the back AND giving the back more traction) the only way i can wheelie is in first off speedbumps/ramps at slow speed doing a little clutch slip.
But not exactly ideal.

That said WHEN it does wheelie its very well behaved, cruises up and down perfectly gently.
