Judging by the IPhone thread there are a few of us on here so hopefully you can help.

If I lock my phone for longer than a minute or two, when I go to unlock it it can take a good 3-5 seconds for the screen to light up after pressing the unlock button. Is this a problem with my phone or are they all this slow to wake up?

If I unlock it again in less than a minute it is pretty instant to light up after pressing the button.

My Xperia SP does something similar sometimes, although not often, where I click the power button and the screen lights up black. I find that locking & unlocking it quickly once or twice fixes it.

Although it certainly doesn't happen often. If I unlock my phone 200 times in a day, it might happen 0-2 times.

Glad I'm not the only one!

there is a problem with the CPU governor. Think sony set the governor in their phones quite conservatively anyway to give better battery life. What happens is the phone will go into deep sleep. Will literally turn everything off. When you wake it it has to turn everything back on. Has their been a recent update to 4.4?

Without meaning to sound like a first-line IT drone, when was the last time you turned it off? I've noticed that Android phones tend to get slow after the ten-days-of-uptime mark. My current record is twenty-nine days, and sluggish is a very appropriate word for it.

Probably gets turned off a couple of times a fortnight through it crashing or the battery running dead.
