Passed Mod 2 today at the first attempt Smile 3 minors, 2 for 'undue hesitation' both were not overtaking cars when in a 40 and a 50. They were doing about 35 and 45 in each but still Rolling Eyes

Atherton test centre, nothing stood out as being too difficult. Independant ride was quite enjoyable to be honest, just me on my own, making my own decisions etc.

Came home on the motorway, only for a short stretch. now to get L plates off, tidy CBr125 up, get it sold and get a new bike Smile

1 or 2 lanes in your direction of travel?

DSA Derek seems super-keen on treating the posted speed as a target rather than a limit, I do wish more candidates would fire in with complaints about this.

Now: WUT BIEKE U GETS????!??!?!?

2 lanes each time. I totally agree I could and should have overtaken and it was perfectly safe to do so.

and looking at SV650's, GSF60's and ER6n's

nope not yet, and to be honest i think it'll be unlikely I'll be able to. It'll have to be a gut-feeling as it was with my 125.

I'm on an A2 license and the bikes i'm looking at would all have to be restricted for me to try. I've ridden ER6n's as thats what the bike school i used use and seems ok

Out of those 3, I'd go for the ER6N.

Not seen a GSX650F in the flesh, but it looks a smart bike, and certainly gets a good write up by the press.

Seems a sound choice Thumbs Up

Mmm. Objectively, the Bandit 650 and variants are well designed and engineered bikes. Two office chumrades ride half-faireds and are properly happy with them. Hydraulic clutch, adjustable levers, relatively modern for a Suzuki, does just about anything pretty well. The GSX650F frocked up version looks great and makes a good claim to be a value-for-money do-anything "sports commuter".

I don't like them.

Too heavy, too top heavy, seat is too fat, the engine doesn't let you know that you're piling on the speed, the riding position just feels muddled, like it doesn't know if you want to sit-up or go knee-down.

That's irrational, I freely admit it. They're great bikes. You should get one and love it. I won't understand it though.
