Slightly random I know, however my daughter's birthday party is coming up, and I get to do the music. DJing to 7 year olds is where it is at. Cool

The theme of her party is 'around the world', so trying to get music to match.

Can have a destination or place in the title or within the lyrics, it's more for my amusement really, the kids won't notice. Some examples which I have noted already:

Alphaville - Big In Japan
Aneka - Japanese Boy
Daft Punk - Around The World (duh)
Tony Christie - Is this the way to Amarillo?
Proclaimers - Letter to America
Boney M - Rasputin (lover of the Russian Queen)
Prefab Sprout - The King of Rock 'N' Roll
Debbie Harry - French Kissing in the USA
The Beach Boys - Surfin' USA

You get the picture.

The more tenuous the better, but it has to be playable to kids - so no rude words or god awful death metal. Karma cookies available.

Cheers mofos.

EoDM - Wanna be in LA.

Ok, I appreciate they're called Eagles of Death Metal, but it isn't.

That's about wanking.

I'm not sure you should play a song about wanking when hosting a party for 7 year olds.

What kind of party is this?

not sure if it works, but what about some more proclaimers? 500 miles?

viva las vegas (plenty of variations, i prefer elvis meself), Rotterdam or Anywhere (beautiful south i think),

rivers of babylon, belfast (boney M) , weezer - beverly hills, Galway Girl (steve Earle), Kokomo (beach boys)

can't quite think of anymore at the minute!
