I always considered myself lucky that I lost my right leg below knee rather than my left (I have no doubt this sounds strange to someone with a full set of legs)

I got back on the bike with an additional level on the bars for the rear brake after many months of not liking it, I had it taken off and returned to standard.
I now "heel" the brakes applying the pressure from the knee, took some getting used to but I much prefer it.

Good luck on it & post a proud first picture moment Thumbs Up

Wotcha.

Luckily ( ? ) I kept my left leg, but the nerves controlling the foot were ripped out.
On my Kawasaki I can still use the heel part of the heel & toe gear change to go up the box, but I have to use the hand change to come back down.
As most of my other bikes are right foot shift I can get away with just putting my foot on the brake and using the other muscles in my leg to apply pressure.

It's worked so far Mr. Green

My mate uses the heel of his artificial limb to change down gear after a few months of trying to use one of those kliktronic gear changer things. For one thing they kept going bang when he used a deep ford. He kept practising until he mastered it so he can still ride any bike without having to do conversion work.
