Hey guys and girls,

I've not long bought a Hyosung gt125 and noticed it's incredibly quiet and as you know, loud pipes save lives. (Certainly saved me on my 50cc)

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere or anyone that makes inexpensive exhausts for my bike or if there's a decent universal exhaust that will fit.

By inexpensive I mean under £200, of course it has to be road legal.

Any help is appreciated!

I bought one of these dynamic power cans when I had the 250r and it was lush. Cant remember the exact cost in £££'s all in but I think it was round about the £200 mark maybe less. That was including the import tax. Sounded great and was plug n play no messing around.

Chop off can. Measure diameter of pipe. Go online and choose from the myriad of cans available ensure it fits the pipe (or comes with correct reducing sleeves). Shove new can on and either weld up or use a sealant.

There may be a baffle in the pipe as well as the can. Pull that out for maximum noise, though on a 125 you are not going to have awesome sounding pipes you are going to have a mildly pissed off wasp sound.

You can get unbranded cans cheap, they won't be E-marked but they should still go through MOT.

If your bike is carbed you will need to rejet (bigger jets) so you may as well tear out the airbox and replace with a better filter while at it rather than do later and need to rejet again.

First thing you'll want to do is to have a look at your current system. Depending on the year, you may find that the end can is secured with mucking great anti-tamper rivets. If so, you'll need to decide whether to drill them out and then try and find an exact matching end can, or just lop the pipe off in front of the can and find a slip-on solution.

Just lop it off though.

Had a scorpion on my 08, was pretty beefy, as beefy as you can be with a 125.

Forgot to say if you want the uber-cheap/ghetto method just drill holes down through the baffles, it works reasonably (though again 125..... angry wasp)
