I got a large bottle of Effax Lederol from a horse tack shop which is good and has lasted years, it's not that easy to find even online.

Damp cloth, wipe clean. And then.. I really hate to say this.. I really, really hate to say it, but Harley Davidson make the BEST creams and treatments for leathers.

You really need to explain what needs cleaning off the leathers.

We want to know whether you mean general road grim or whether you shat yourself and need to scrap poo out of them.

Didn't bother for a couple of years (except the liner) and noticed the jacket was stiffening up and discolouring.

Warm water + cloth to clean, leave to dry for few hours.

Apply some Lincoln Superior Leather Balsam and leave to soak in for a few hours.

Apply some Lincoln Leather Polish and leave for a couple of hours then buff with a sponge.

Result, jacket is super supple, looks brand new, smells like honey and is water resistant/repellent.

Picked up both tubs for £12 and reckon with 3 cleans a year, will probably last at least 5 years.

baby's bum wipes, no really

think about it

but if you need something really nasty cleaning pop to your local dainese dealer, they do a cleaning and feeding kit for their leathers, the cleaner is quite strong and strips back the layers of grime, so you must use the other bottle afterwards to look after the exposed area

Baby wipes for me too for cleaning and the occasional rub over with some dubbin to keep the leather supple and slightly water resistant.

I use this to clean.

I use this to protect and add water resistance.

I've used Nikwax product in the past, but am quite liking the above stuff at the moment.
