Best waterproof boot - budget £100

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a decent pair of boots for around £100, I 'NEED' them to remain waterproof for as long as possible as I do about 14,000 miles a year mostly on motorways. With my current boots the first hint of rain and my feet are dripping lol, not good.

Spend more and get goretex boots.

Buy secondhand goretex if you can't afford new.

Don't buy new £100 non-goretex boots. They aren't worth it.

I have had a pair of Alpinestars Web goretex for about a year and a half, paid £110. Websites periodically have sales of these on, they updated them and the old style that I bought were reduced massively, still a few around now.

I'm not a fan of non-bike boots on a bike so chose to ignore suggestions of ex-army boots and the like in favour of a motorcycle boot.

These replaced an appalling pair of Weisse Highways (quite literally the worst footwear I have ever owned, and I have had more than my fair share of jelly sandals).

They haven't let any water in at all, are warm and comfortable, sole is hard wearing, leather is thick but pliable, velcro/zip on the inside of your leg so you don't need to contort yourself to get them off, can walk around in them off the bike. Really can't fault them.

Had these a couple of years and still 100% waterproof, unlike some other boots these are easy to walk about in too and give good levels of protection

£95 Warm and waterproof - pretty indestructable leather and hard wearing sole, can't fault them one bit.

there's a pair of alpinestar web goretex on ebay for £85, worn a couple of times, is there a general rule of buying bike boots, like get 1 size above what you normally wear or anything like that?
Edit (never mind, just found out these would be too small for me.)

I paid £150 for my HG ones about 5 years ago they are leather with goretex, they have been brilliant, price jumped to £170 then they disappeared and only the ladies version is left, money well spent, warm dry feet and still in use, give em a polish once a week.

Mine were from 2wheeljunkie, only small sizes left by the looks of it but give them a ring as I bought a size not listed online by phoning up.

My 3rd attempt at cheap waterproof boots: Black Stealth - a year in, still waterproof. Before that I tried Spada Glide and Nitro NB41 - the first lasted a couple of months, the second - a few weeks.

100% waterproof and warm.
made as a slip on "welly" style boot made from rubberised leather i think.
Been stood in 12 inch deep water without leaking.
Done 7000 miles in mine and they look new .

See them on ebay regularly and would buy another pair as they have been by far the most comfortable winter/wet boot i have worn.

I've been out in torrential rain and roads like rivers for 80 miles, had wet hair (yes, with my crash helmet on!) and my "waterproof" Furygan textiles have been soaked through, but feet have remained bone dry and warm.
