Thought I would ask on here as some may know the process on this.

Basically I got hit off my bike, if you didn't know, and they are going to send someone to assess the damage.

My question is do you guys think it could be classed as a write off? 600 K7 with 22k miles. Problems are:

Smashed panels both front and back on the left of the bike
Air intake cracked
Radiator dented (circled)
Mirror smashed and stem loose
Where the front mudguard fixes to the forks it has snapped so there is no where to mount it (circled)
Engine casing scratched
Crash bung, end bar and lever smashed and scratched.

I am hoping it's written off tbh. They have agreed to me retaining salvage if I want.

But just easier to get a cheque than try and sell it privately when fixed

Definitely a write off there , cat C/D just like Fisty said.

I had a ninja 250 written off only damage was nose fairing, head light unit and one bent clip on. bike insurance value was £2500 and it was written off Rolling Eyes

Out of curiosity, and apologies for the mercenary approach here, but what would you be wanting for the forks and yokes?

Tbh I won't be parting the bike out....

Way too much time and effort. It will either be converted to a track bike or Paddy has called dibs on it as is

Fair enough mate. Either way, hope you mend quickly. Sounded like a nasty smash, based on your other thread.

How are you going to sort out the twisted subframe?
