Has anyone ever used a bike transport company before?
I need to ship a bike from south England to south Scotland, there a few companies online, but not sure how good they are or if they are trustworthy, I mean I would be giving them my bike + key.
Any recommendations would be handy.

Sorry I can't give you a name to use (will try and dig out the paperwork and find it) but it really is worth seeing if you can find any customer feedback from whoever you decide to use.
We have probably used 6 or so in the past year and the quality of service varies MASSIVELY!
Best was an old Cornish geeza, sound as a pound and had everything secured in his as we would ourselves. Worst was two cowboys who turned up in a transit and when they opened the back up we found the bike to be wedged in un-secured in between a load of other packages etc and there was all over damage too.
Has varied from £99 for national delivery up to £160, the extra money doesn't always get you a better service. ____________________ www.soundcloud.com/bodren |

https://www.wemovebikesandquads.co.uk/
Has delivered me 4 bikes so far from, essex, cumbria, sussex and somewhere else i forget.
About £100 plus vat for most bike deliveries.
Proper modern vans with bumploks and bike straps, van width ramps and winches.
None of this roll it up a plank and strap it to the side of a van on a mattress shit. ____________________ Nobby the Bastard: How yo tell the difference between the actual japanese and her just screaming because she's had live fish stuck up her arse? Also try https://www.toyzinthehood.co.uk/. He's moved over £100,000 worth of bikes for us as work. He's spot on - and cheap. |

Ace services I've used twice ( https://www.aceservicesbristol.com/ ), friendly 1 man (and his mrs) outfit. He wasn't the cheapest but he was happy at short notice and had a decent van with the proper kit to move bikes.
Watch out for shysters on gumtree and Ebay that demand payment first, the guy I sold my 125 too got ripped off that way |
