I'm hoping we get some snow shoon so i can justify ordering one of these bessies for my SMC.
But i was wondering, just incase we dont, do you think it might work alright on mud/sand? And if i left my front wheel on, do you recon it will prob be alright to use it on tarmac until i get the enduro forks for the ski? I'd ride slow and i'm not expecting to get my knee down obviously, and i'm sure it might be a bit noisey, but just incase it doesnt snow i'd want to be able to justify the purchase. And lastly, any ideas about any tax, insurance and legal issues i might be faced with? Will it pass MOT? Surely its 's no different than any other tracked road vehicle? (Tank/Cat Tractor etc.)
Can't wait......

Kidding.
Seriously tho, these are fucking cool, and i'd love to have a go, can anyone share any snow experience on one? Is it as fun as it looks? I imagine its a bit more tricky to stay upright without the aid of gyro forces? ____________________ Chase my Witch up, Catch my Snitch up.

Would expect a road to tear the belt to pieces within a matter of seconds.
Would probably overheat/grind apart on sand.
Wait for the snow. ____________________ My Flickr |

The belt pictured looks way too aggressive for the road to me.
They are used for bits on sand, but not for extended periods - I'd suggest, much better just to get a sand tyres and swap it over when the snow comes . |
