hi just brought a w reg honda sfx 50cc scooter i have done 12 mile in it no probs, going to work this morning did about 4 miles then it just cut out, i got it resart went 500 yard cut out again managed to start it got to work then it cut out again and now wont start, it turns over but wont fire, it has oil and full of petrol, it has got a strange box with a switch on it under the seat looks like some tuning type thing but im not sure what it does, ive had the switch both ways but still wont start, any advise please.

Firstly I'd try and figure out what the so called box is. If someones messed with something, especially if it's electrical, it could be messing something up.

Have you checked for a spark / fuel? Any carb settings to check? If you don't have a haynes manual already, probably a good idea to get one. E.g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260934903723

thanks, ive had a better look at this box i unpluged it and the bike had nothing wouldnt even power up or turn over, so i guess its some power or starting device that has been added, after doing some research it is a cdi tuning box, still not starting tho
