G has used them before. They only work on thick ice or very deep compacted snow. The problem we have is that we have a wishy washy climate where the temperature hovers a few degrees either side of zero degrees centigrade.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

They're awesome!!

Have tyres with them for my pushbike and it's great cycling past cars who're busying wheel spinning on ice, you get some really confused looks from the drivers. Mr. Green

I was *almost* toying with getting some and putting them in a set of part worn tyres. Laughing

I've got a load of part worns which I would be more than willing to sacrifice to ride in snow...

What kind of grip do these afford for those experienced? Would be a laugh being able to ride in snow still.

They do not work in snow.

Pretty certain G was doing some wheelies on his KTM 690 with the ice studs fitted, there was a video of it around somewhere but my Google Fu is lacking. Crying or Very sad

I think they can only be fitted to almost new tyres, or they are too long and screw all the way through the rubber.

You can unscrew them though.

slap some on a pitbikes wheels just for those odd days when there's no tarmac and just compacted snow. Woul they be legal though as car snow tires with metel spikes are illegal now.
