Has anyone seen or used one of these or similar?

I currently have a Galaxy S4 works phone and a an old Blackberry Bold personal phone and want to stop carrying both around with me.

I know it'll not be as good as the S4 but will probably be better than the Blackberry.

Looks pretty good value for money.

Cheers

Mark

I use a Samsung Galaxy Duos for my work phone. Does the job OK but the memory is miniscule, 4gb, so you need an SD card pretty well straight away.

I only got it for the dual sim anyway.

Ok so the phone has arrived and I've charged it and started to set it up.

First impressions so far (after just a little use).

Phone came fairly well packaged and came with a flip case (that does activate the phone), 2 batteries, earphones, charging/data cable and mains->usb charger.

Build quality is excellent. Indistinguishable from my Galaxy S4.

Android is 4.2.2

No noticable speed difference between it and the S4 - at least for the stuff I use.

Screen is clear and bright

Nice loud sound - not played any music yet so can't comment on quality.

I'd say the Samsung's camera is better quality but that's only on the basis of a single photo so far.

Signal strength is good. Not made any calls but it recognised my SIM in slot 1 and recognised that there was no SIM in slot 2 so all looks good.

Wi-Fi works fine.

Will post more after more usage.

Please do report back after you've had some time with it - I currently have an S3 but the screen is cracked and somethings up with the charging/battery system so that it drains like crazy.

Can't be arsed spending top dollar for phones anymore so something like this would be right up my street.

Does it take micro-sims?

After a bit more playing the most noticeable difference is that the S4's screen is much better defined.

It's higher resolution and has better colours.

Not worth paying £400 more for though Smile

Rooting will let me change the screen's dpi so may impove it a bit.

Having played a Youtube video of Gnarls Barkley (on Jools Holland's show) I was happy with the video and sound quality. The sound is almost on a par with the S4.

Like you say it's five times the cost for the s4 for not five times the phone. Only thing that would concern me is the battery, the rest you coil UK's live with. It's a great price IMO, I just paid £120 for a mint used HTC one X.

Well, be careful when getting out of your car that you don't drop it in the road, like my daughter did, or yours might get run over too Smile

Been using it all day and the battery's still got 40% charge plus you get the second battery.

Apart from the screen not being as good I've not noticed any real difference between the clone and the S4.

Have ordered a SIM converter to take the S4's micro SIM up to the full size that the clone uses so will see how well the dual SIM side of things works next week.
