Here's a cute one. If I paste a long dash character into a post and hit preview, the whole content of the post is removed.

I can enter it using ampersand-hash-x2014; thusly:



And I can post it OK (obviously), but if I try and make a post using the resultant character, for example quoting this post, all the content gets wiped. Try it out, quote this post, hit preview, and be greeted with an empty post.

I'd expect that there are other characters that this happens with too, but I've only noticed it with EM-DASH so far though.

This is with Chrome 30.0.1599.66 on Mint 15 Xfce.
