Hello, I am picking up a Kawasaki zr7 (v reg plate). I am on tip-toes when I had a sit on it. Now I think it will be fine it is more having that extra "security" when carrying a pillion. How could i lower it without it being too expensive? I am a worrier! so I am probably worrying over nothing however suggestions would be very useful Smile

Thanks.

That's a lowering kit for a zx7r, OP's after a lowering kit for a zr7.

After searching around it doesn't look like there is any lowering kits available for your bike.

You may have to have some dog bones made…
Bare in mind that you might need longer dog bones in order to lower the bike, all depends on the type of suspension you have. While you're at it you could have your side stand shortened to compensate for a lower bike.

Don't lower the bike, get boots that make you taller. They work for all bikes.

I mentioned all this in my Short Riders Guide which is up there ^^

You can go ghetto by finding a scrap seat on fleabay, cutting down the padding and recovering it. Ok won't lower you massively but costs peanuts for some effect.

Yeah - get two of those boots Lord Byron had one of, and shave some foam of t'saddle.

Might have to shift the selector round on its spline a bit though if the soles are quite thick, so you don't have to dip your toe down too much to hook under it.
