Rather unfortunate Crying or Very sad CCM may be tanks but they are good bikes for what they do, Can't believe they've gone bust though!

Well to be honest it was a matter of time before this happened, unfortunatly theres not a alot of money in the niche motorcycle market.

The only reason why the major manufacturers survive is cos they have loads of different motorcycle people can choose, sadly CCM didn't.

It's basically the same thing that happened in the 70's with BSA, Truimph etc, they didn't expand/update the range fast enough to keep up with the Japanese manufacturers, while the british were making Inline Twins the Japs were bringing out Inline 4' s and even 6's.
By the time they did catch up it was far too late and the money pot dried up.

And alas the same has happened to CCM. Sad.

Hopefully though someone may save them, come on Honda/Suzuki/Yamaha, how about a nice niche off-road division? Razz.

There is a fair amount to be made in a niche market, when that niche market is fashionable as the CCM products are. Yes they might well have had problems when super motos went out of fashion but no sign of that yet.
