I just went past on the Tunnel approach and saw a bunch of fire appliances attending to a fire at the old Allbikes building. Looks like a bad one going by the amount of smoke pouring out from the roof.
It's called Motorcycle Repair Centre now, I hope no-one here has a bike in there having work.

That sucks, they were a Triumph Specialists set up by the Mechanics of a London Triumph Dealer that went under(not Carl Rosner the other one) dealer quality work and know how at half the price. They also broke Triumphs meaning when I needed a sidestand switch they fitted one for £5 as part of a service.

So that's what caused me to have to do a 45 minute diversion through Greenwich and the Rotherhithe tunnel this morning? Evil or Very Mad (they shut the Blackwall tunnel because of it).

I'm sure that's just speculation. Mind you, with Paddy, where there's smoke....

Doesn't seem to be much profit in motorcycle dealers and mechanics. Perhaps the owner did a number on it. Laughing

Boyer Racing of Plumstead. Sucks indeed. They were of invaluable assistance when I was pulling my hair out doing up a Tiger steamer. Sad

Fuck, that's a shame. They seemed a cool bunch - had my Pan Euro forks and rear shock rebuilt there. Also helped me find a horn for the old bandit off a shelf full of 2nd hand spares.

The tall guy was ex plod wasn't he? Seem to remember RIDE did a piece on them yonks ago. Thinking
