Just bought a CBR600F that's a little rough around the edges. One of the downpipes has a gaping hole in it that was bandaged up, 'til it blew through bringing it home. I've tried to patch it with exhaust putty but even after letting it set hard it's blowing through that too.

I'm thinking I can do a temp fix by using putty to fix a small metal plate, then wrap a jubilee clip tight around it... just something to make it work for a few months 'til I have more funds or find some cheap enough.

Any advice on:
- a better fix
- what specific model headers will fit?

There's a fair few sets on ebay but none for my model/year. Input much appreciated Karma

Not sure but the RR ones look similar and swing out to the right hand side like yours. Dunno how difficult it is to find out the diameter of the pipe...

There are several on eBay at the moment. You're looking for CBR600 FH-FL pipes; they cover 1987-1990 (possibly 91, but I'm not a CBR geek).
