I have seen this Honda CBR600F 2012 that I am looking to purchase.
Only problem is I have not seen the paint scheme before and would like to know if it is a special edition or standard for that year of Motorcycle?
Does it have a name so I can search for it online?

Looks like a standard fairing with a decal kit added.

Its the standard fairing on the right I think, just with an aftermarket exhaust/rear hugger/bobbins/decals Razz https://vanz21society.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/honda_cbr600f_011.jpg

Maybe the previous owner had one of these?

It looks to me like a standard red/white CBR600F with most of Honda's optional accessories (hugger, high screen, akrapovic slip on and seat cowl)

I believe they've then taken off the original stickers, and added their own red and blue stickers or had that design sprayed on. They must of also powder coates the wheels white.

Looks nice just need a tail tidy in my opinion Thumbs Up

Possibly.. Just looks a little extreme for decals.

As they run all the way in to the tank and the back of the bike.

The old owner must have had to remove the old decals to do this correctly?

OR had an accident and replaced all the fairing with one he customized himself?

Do you still think its safe to purchase a bike that has been messed with so much?

If its not recorded as being in an accident and all looks okay, do a HPI check [if its from a dealer its probably already done and you can ask them to see it], I wouldn't be concerned.

Tweaking with stuff like that is quite common. A lot of decal kits will come as a full measured kit for the entire bike. Removing the old ones and applying them isn't difficult, just need a hairdryer, adhesive remover and some patience peeling and reapplying them smartly.

Most of those things will probably add value, the decals just depends on personal preference really - that may be something to bare in mind though, if you aren't interested in the aftermarket bits, there may be slightly cheaper standard bikes available, but it won't be a significant price difference, if at all.

If you like it though I don't see any reason to be concerned about it - looks in near perfect condition from the picture.

Attached a pic of my old CBR600F (2011)

I personally thought the standard colour scheme was boring as hell. That bike looks awesome, bar the ugly tail end. If it looks/rides good and has good mileage on it, buy it and fit it with a tail tidy.

Looks ok, wouldn't buy one personally. It's just a hornet in a dress. Sad

Identical bike unfortunately and while the Hornet is a great bike in itself, the 600F deserved its own reboot from scratch. I found that after a while I started disliking the bike due to (for me) lack of oomph and being a bit boring. I stopped turning around to look at it when I got off it, so I sold her.

What he said!

I would either buy the full fat RR which coming from experience makes a decent road bike or an old 600f which are pretty legendary. Thumbs Up

I've got a 2012 CBR600F, and it's a great first big bike.

I hear what the others say about more oomph, but it's still 100+bhp and does 130+ without thinking about it.

I will get rid of mine only when I get my knee down, but I've only been riding one full summer so far.

Here's mine:

Beautiful bikes. I wish they had designed these with twin headlamp thingees, similar to that of 600rr, but with both lamps on simultaneously like with a foxeye Fazer. It gives the bike more road presence in my opinion.

Compared to my 13 year old CBR600f, the 2012 is slower, heavier, has less power, more budget and less adjustable suspension and has a backbone vs. a twin spar aluminium frame. Not to mention the old one comes in yellow, is good for stellar mileages and costs a fraction of the new one.

Bikes should evolve and improve, not become slower and heavier. Fckin Honda Middle Finger .

Buy a street triple on principle. Actually, try both then buy the on you like more.

I love mine. Yes it's "boring" to ride having such a predictable power delivery but that's kind of what I love about it.

So easy to ride, smooth power delivery.
But I'm new to biking so I have only rode a fazer before, whilst I was doing my DAS.

I see the ugly tree is missing quite a few branches.
