Hi All,

I'm having insurance problems at the moment and i think the people on the end of the phone are probably just getting confused.

I basically live in two locations on in Hertfordshire (the house i own) and one in tower hamlets in a tower block where i spend anywhere between 1 night a week to the whole week. Obviously this place even though i have an underground car park space in a locked compound. The insurance is still nuts if i assigned the bike to this address for 3rd FF.

What should i say on the insurance i don't want to loose my insurance if it gets stolen from my flat but again if its at the other place and it gets stolen i dont want to get done there too. Basically i can't guarantee which place i'll be in more it depends on my work.

Visiting a friend/family if anything happens - i've been doing the same with my car for the last year and a bit between Bristol and Bournemouth.

Or have you already told them you own/rent a property at the location should you have to claim for a loss there.

Then that's where I'd insure it and state it's kept overnight. If it goes missing from TH then you'd just state that the Herts address is your main residence, as proven by your licence, and that's what the question asked....

Thanks for the info, i think my problem at the moment is so many insurers ask for a registration address and an overnight address seperatly.

My current cheapest quotes from MCE (who i will en-devour not to use) and complete bike cover both ask for the two separate addresses. I think i might just have to have a very long phone call with them.
