my 2012 125 cobra needs new brake shoes ,is this a diy job ? or a garage job ,i have never worked on bikes before ,but i am a psv fitter so i know how to use a spanner Very Happy but cant even find a workshop manual for it

If you're a mechanic then it'll be a total breeze. Don't pay someone to do it if you're a PSV fitter.

I managed to replace brake shoes on my CG125 easily enough. Have a quick look on youtube to see how they work - just generally all drums work the same IMO.

Once you know how it works and know how to get to it, it's all gravy.

Wheel off, hub out and take the old shoe off. While in there, I gave it a blow out and shot some brake cleaner around and gave it a wipe.

I quickly ran some sand paper over the new shoes - why I guessed it would help them but you probably don't need to.

REFIT. hardest bit for me what getting the CG to stand up when I'd taken the wheel off!
