Have a look at this auction on ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-YZF-R1-SPARES-OR-REPAIR-TRACK-BIKE-/221372245939?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item338ad067b3#ht_756wt_1161

Is its me or is this dealer just simply lazy!?!

bike failed mot for the following points:

1) Rear reflector missing
This only costs about £3 off ebay and as they are dealer do they not have a relfector sticker in stock link here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SELF-ADHESIVE-REFLECTORS-MOT-MOPED-SCOOTER-MOTORCYCLE-BIKE-NUMBER-PLATE-SAFETY-/400348213438?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item5d369cf0be

2) Front roller brake test indicates a juddering brake.
Take front wheel off take dics off and inspect no more than an 30mins to have a quick check especially if your a dealer and that your trade...............really!
check wheel bearings as well and brake lines.

3) Registration plate too
new number plate is like £6 link here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/9-x-7-Motorbike-Motorcycle-Number-Plate-Road-Legal-/190927296793?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2c74275919

4)advisory - number plate light not working
bulb might be gone or lose wiring 15mins to take off fairing and have a check.

now considering all the above it appears that this dealer is lazy and could sort this stuff out for almost nothing as it would better for them because listing it as spares and repairs will not save them from the sales and supply of goods act if a problem were to arise.

what you guys think?

Is the bike hiding other faults that he's "forgotten" to tell you about. Remember it is being sold as spares or repair.

I'd steer away with the cost of disks and pads. Laughing

Maybe lazy, maybe its burning oil and he wanted a quick shift of it, rather than throw disks and pads, chuck as failed MOT bike.

Maybe something is bent causing the juddering... fuck knows. But a dealer selling a broken bike, alarm bells.
