Crying or Very sad does anyone have any input on fairing repair by plastic welder or fibre glass or anything??? Shocked

There was a similar a couple of weeks ago, the general concensus there was that a soldering iron along the back of the crack (to 'plastic weld' the pieces) was the best way.
Repair the front with plastic padding or similar then respray.
I posted an article from Bike magazine on the subject, which seemed to be quite helpful. Will try and get hold of a copy.[/url]

Have found the fairing repair article in the original post.
I will add a blank thread to that post to bring it to to the front just in case there is something useful in there, and have attached the article here

Haha. I went out and bought a soldering iron, that method works pretty well, I am surprised but now I face the dilemma of whether or not i should go all the way and prep and paint the whole bike over. Lol, I noticed today that I definitely need to buy a new fairing stay.
