Hi
My Speedfight 2 got stolen and hotwired. After the scooter had been missing for about 4 weeks the police returned it to me. The thief’s had messed it up real bad Sad
I’m trying to fix most of it myself, but I’m facing an issue connecting a new ignition lock. I have read many forums but none of the “recipes” seems to fit the color codes on my wires, so I haven’t dared to try to connect/solder any yet. I have a black, red, green and white cable…

The thief has also pulled this white wire out and when returned to me it was connected to the battery… Anybody know what that cable does?

Find the wiring diagram, it will tell you all you need to know.

Thank you for the reply.

I have studied the diagrams, but unfortunately none of the 2 diagrams for speedfight quite match what I see in real life. For example the ignition switch on the diagrams has 5 cables. 2 of them striped (two colors). On the scooter I can only see 4 cables, single color… The thief might have removed one completely, but cannot see any trace of it..

I will print the diagram and try to measure to find the correct cables.. It looks like the color codes on the "Instruments" part is a match for example.. Strange..

What should I do when the wiring diagram that was linked to does not match what I see in real life? (Attached a snippet of wiring diagram and the complete one)

The striped red/dark cable between the Ignition switch and the Alternator is missing. The thief’s have not ripped it out, I see no evidence what so ever that this cable has existed. The white/black one is there and can be connected to the Ignition switch…
And the CDI unit on mine has 5 cables going in/out. In the diagram it has only 4…

I have gotten the blinkers, break light and horn working by connecting the black and red cable as on the diagram. The start motor also works, but I cannot get a spark and get the engine running…

This is a scooter purchased in Norway, I guess they might change the wiring some on each model?

If anybody have any information or pictures of doing a similar job, anything would be appreciated.
I’m also interested if anybody have pictures of the plug that is supposed to be between the wires and the ignition switch..
