That stabbing sensation is what you feel in your arse when you buy a brand new 125 on finance.

I get it and it's just a spasm in my case.

However, GO TO YOUR FUCKING DOCTOR. It could be something serious.

If it occurs one more time during the night I'll call up about it.

Googling it showed me other have this issue too, some for a few years, describing it exactly how it feels, some saying it went after a while of ignoring it

Have you checked to see if you're being stabbed ??

Number one cause of a stabbing sensation in my experience...

What happens to people that have heart attacks at 11pm at night? Do they wait till 9am when their doctors open?

if its really bad go to a&e...but be prepared for a 5 hour wait. Otherwise see the doc tomorrow.

FFS. Oh hai BCF, I keep having this medical issue, where I'll ask you all despite none of you having any idea of my medical history.

Getting a spurious diagnosis from The BCF Witchdoctors will be a damned sight quicker and may be considerately more accurate than a diagnosis from a NHS mercenary locum.

Since you smoke enough to have nothing left to buy a bike, it's probably an entire lung turning into a giant cancer.

Precordial Catch Syndrome

I have this, every couple of months or so i'll just get a short stabbing pain in my chest. Hurts like a bitch for a minute or so then goes away. It sounds similar to what you're suffering from and is harmless BUT you should still get yourself checked out.

I am disappointed. From the title I thought this was going to be about a sensational stabbing. I eagerly clicked on it hoping to read about Piers Morgan or Tony Blair receiving their well-deserved blood-letting.

Mind you, now that Manuka honey-covered cucumbers have got a mention, I remain interested.........next?

I've had one-off stabbing pains somewhere in the lower abdomen before. One brief intense jolt pain lasting a split second or so, pretty close to what I imagine being stabbed in the guy feels like, with a particularly "piercing" quality to it. Has never happened enough to worry me, might happen a few times a year if that. I'm fit and healthy so keep on truckin'.
