The noise! It's the best sounding thing ever!

The exhaust note and that sound when the revs are dropping, so nice!

Anybody on here got an IL4 250? I'm guessing they're both rare and expensive.

Check ebay every now and again, you can pick up these from £600+ depending on the amount of work needing.

I want another ZXR250 C model. Much the same but it was my first bike so its more special Smile

Wildgoose's CBR250RR with a race can did sound rather like an F1 car - just a very slowly moving one!

I've ridden a few of them and they're "ok", but I'd prefer a 250 2 stroke personally.

Obviously they're not particularly fast, they just sound brilliant! I hate that cheap tat single cylinder dog shit they're chucking out now. Put some Fireblade fairings on it and call it a sports 250.

NO!

It's not so much the all out speed, but the delivery feels pretty linear too - also a bit heavier than the 'smoker. But yes, it does sound nice Smile.

Quite a few grey import ones.

You even get 250 bandits.

FZR250 was supposed to be pretty tasty but like rocking horse poo.

CB250F Hornet was officially imported into the UK.

You used to get all manner of weird and wonderful 400 and 250cc versions of uk bikes at bat motorcycles but I'm not sure they're still on the go. They used to import container loads of Japanese MOT failures (their MOT equivalent is very strict).

I saw a Bandit 250 for sale. It's the only one I've seen in person! (250 IL4).

why not get a loudspeaker and an amp fitted to your own bike, record the sound from yt vid onto a tape/cd/mp and press play with amp volume on max as you open your throttle and ride away from the lights? Thumbs Up

https://www.soundracer.se/ is the first example in google.
As you might expect, they don't really cater for bike sounds, but sure something could be done - see they have a phone app too now.

It detects the ignition pulses through the electrical input from the lighter socket I believe.

Haha it's not quite the same as blasting through a tunnel at 13,500rpm with a loud can on.
