It's always very suspicious when the cops find these offences concerning people they don't like.

Child porn law is ripe for abuse to fit people up. It would be almost impossible to fight the charges, but very easy to fabricate concrete evidence. Consider this:
Officer: Is this your USB stick sir? [It isn't]
You hold the USB stick and look it at
You: No, it's not mine
later in court
Officer: This is Robby's USB stick full of kiddy porn and it's got his prints all over it
You: It's not mine. They asked me in my house if it was and I said it wasn't. I'm being fitted up, this isn't fair.
Judge: Guilty, 9 months sentence suspended, 5 years on the pedo register.
Lose job, get windows bricked etc

I agree, can anyone say 100% they know what is on their PC?

I've downloaded several gig torrents of ham radio books. Which is literally hundreds of books in pdf format. I've read a few books but 99% of them I haven't even opened, let alone read.

It's very unlikely, but of course those books on VHF Antennas and Microwave Principles could be jammed packed full of kiddy porn - I wouldn't know as I've never opened the files. I'm taking it on face value that the contents of the pdf are what they say they are, not horrific scenes of child abuse. I'm sure I'm not the only person like this, I'd wager most people could not say "my pc contains no child porn" with absolute 100% confidence.

Worth remembering too is that footage depicting sex acts with a 17 year old is still considered kiddy porn and thus you must be an evil pedo if you own such footage Rolling Eyes You can quite legally fuck a 17 year old yet all of a sudden you are a pedo if you film the encounter.... Tut Tut

America though (and only some states)...

In the UK there's the chance that if the star is over 18, but looks under age then they could go after a conviction...

Interesting. I wasn't aware of that, but it does make sense, since IIRC a cartoon depicting a child sexually is also child porn. It does then raise the question of if you draw a stick man and a stick woman getting it on, then write "13 years old" next to the girl with an arrow... would you be in possession of kiddy porn? Such a question is fundamentally important as computer graphics are incredibly good, good enough to make fake kiddy porn I'm sure.

Sounds like a fair trial then. If there are any unforeseen problems, then there's always a civil trial, and a trial by media, just to make sure justice is done. I'm sure it will be.
