How do you reply to messages from people about stuff you are selling?

I can see there are messages but there is no reply button, the only link is back to the ad.

Try logging into the email address you registered with, should be able to reply to them through that.

Login to your email account. Gumtree will send you an email that you reply directly to, which will reply to the potential buyer.

All the gumtree ads for bikes around my area are scams at the moment.

There is a 25 mile queue of stupid people waiting to hand over cash to scammers, they should change gumtree to scamtree.

I think ebay invite scammers to gumtree to fuck people over so that it makes ebay feel slightly safer while getting rich on the fees.

Perhaps up until very recently, but Gumtree now only allow 2 free "car"[*] adverts per account per year. After that it's £15 a pop, much same as an eBay classified.

[*] Definitely car, I don't know if they lump bikes in there as well.
