BCF Bike Picture Challenge 2014 Round 1

Take a picture of your bike with the object or place named by the previous winner, and then set the next challenge for great karma. The goal is to encourage people to ride out, so please make challenges clear and achievable by most members.

Challenges that require other people or props or that can be satisfied by taking a picture of your bike in the driveway or garage are generally frowned on.

Rules:

1 - Has to be YOUR motorcycle.
2 - Picture has to be taken after challenge is made.
3 - Challenge is good for one week. If nobody gets it by then, please select a different challenge.
4 - Challenges must be legal and Safe For Work.
5 - If you comment rather than post an entry, then please repeat the current challenge at the end of your comment, especially if you start a new page.
6 - No repeat challenges within this thread. You can repeat challenges from previous rounds.
7 - Only one person can win each challenge and set the next one. Challenge setter to resolve any disputes, or failing that, three Thumbs Ups from other members wins it. If you want to show a late entry after a challenge has been won, then please only post a link to the picture. Do not actually show your image directly as other members will get confused and expect a new challenge from yourself.

Previous challenges:
2013 Round 1
2013 Round 2
2013 Round 3

Current new year challenge: Your bike next to any street furniture or public facility that has been recently vandalised: for example, smashed or kicked over signs, bins or bus stops.

I think it's OK to set fire to a bin as long as you don't draw boobies on it first.

Your bike next to any street furniture or public facility that has been recently vandalised: for example, smashed or kicked over signs, bins or bus stops.

I'd vote for 100 as the reset. The eventual winner is usually well ahead by then.

Here we go then.

Knocked down bollard thing. Base by bike, bollard in other side of road.

If good, your bike by one of these huge signs advertising show homes at a new build estate

Thumbs Up - a downed bollard was exactly what inspired this challenge. Wink

Huh, everyone has their bikes tucked up for the winter?

Well, it's not huge, and they're a bit coy about showing off...

https://i40.tinypic.com/30djdps.jpg

...but I did track down the subtly signed showhome.

https://i40.tinypic.com/317ffgk.jpg

<Warped>While tooling around looking for new estates, someone who wasn't me might accidentally have turned into a clearly poorly signed access-only road, only spotting an approaching Plodvan after he was already on it, then decided to give it beans for a great escape proceed with due care and consideration anyway. Obviously, whomever it was would have propelled the bike on foot while negotiating this gated footpath. I believe he remains at large, citizens are advised to stay in their homes.</Warped>

Is that the most "offroad" a GS has been without a support crew? Thinking

If accepted, a one-day special:

Your bike with a "FLOOD" sign, or by (not necessarily in) a significantly flooded road.

I went for a ride in the new forest just yesterday where there is an abundance of flooded roads at the moment. We'll see I have time to return later. Evil or Very Mad

Would I get away with using a bike that technically belongs to a friend but I need to take it for a spin to fault find it?

We're not going to take DNA swabs from the seat.

Damn, I wish I saw this earlier. I have had to navigate around a flood the past 2 days on my commute.

Isn't the whole West side of the UK affected with floods? I thought this one would have been easy for most people considering the crappy weather I've seen/heard about.

I may have to take part in a few of these challenges this time.

So I just spent an hour riding round in the bitter cold looking for a flood. The closest I came was getting my bike stuck in a large pile of horseshit on some farm in the middle of nowhere Sad

https://i1323.photobucket.com/albums/u587/mjs1066/20140104_061130_zps4fe59fff.jpg

I think I'll sit this challenge out.

Bike by a flood sign and a bit of a flood.

Next: your bike by a church with gravestones in the shot.

Finally braved another ride. I really can't get rid of this little bike, the new owner had it for about 2 weeks before he crashed it and it found its way back to me for repairs. Laughing

Your bike by a fallen over fence.
