Rahh, took my first pillion. Was very cool, very different to one.
Was cool to get off the bike and talk to someone about the riding style.
Town riding is bit*h but open roads and twisys is a good laugh.

Hello,

The main question is how was the pillion at the end of the trip?

Thanks for reading

He was cool.
First time he had pillion was with Phil Reed so he was good with pretty much whatever I did which wasn't much.

Being a pillion is cool, as long as you know and trust the rider Thumbs Up

Hmm. You know I can't really think of any slang we use for a girl on the back, we just call them fine ass girls and if they are fat or ugly we just say no.

Better than the worst case pillion then, ie one who knows how to ride a bike and likes to be in control.

You suddenly find that they are trying to lean the bike around corners and spend the entire trip fighting against their riding skills Shocked

Hehe...that rings a bell with me. My biking began with being a pillion with Col, so I got used to going with the flow. Then I got my own bike, so now when I go back to being a pillion I get told off numerous times for doing the leaning for him. Oops...I know it's naughty but I don't even realise I'm doing it!

I can't stand going pillion any more! The last time I did was about 3 years ago on the back of hubby's R6 and I hated the feeling of not being in control.
I'm trying to get used to taking him on the pillion of my SV but although he's not heavy it makes the bike feel horrible when doing slow speed manoevers, but I hardly notice him once I get moving!

my other half has an SV, very funny with me on the back, since not only is the pillion seat higher, but I'm a foot taller than her.

Haven't been on it much since I passed, but handy for coming bak from the pub, as she doesn't drink.

She wasn't too fond of me tickling her at junctions though Very Happy

I took a pillion round in the snowed over grass on my MT50. It was all good till you took a 25mph corner then you knew all about it. I've took a few round not doing much more than about 40, don't find it very hard unless doing a slow tight turn or when they hold onto your shoulders.

I've been on the back of my 125 with my Dad in control taking me down to a car park for some pre-cbt practice - no complaints about the riding style but shame half my arse was sitting on the grab rail... the speed bumps at the end were the real killer!

I have to say I cringed when my friends mum said "oh well when I went on the back of my boyfriends bike, it leaned over going round corners. My reaction was to lean the other way to correct it"

Thankfully I haven’t had any experiences myself of riding with pillion passengers!
