Anyone know about old Italian scooters?

Hi all,
My mother's husband passed away just before Christmas, he was a scooterist back in the day and used to say he had 'more bits than Chiselspeed'.
We recently got around to clearing out the house (he was something of a hoarder) and found the place packed with old scooter stuff.
I'm not clued up on them but have been told some of this gear is worth a pretty penny.
There's stuff in the attic, in the spare room and in the back of the garage so I took a few quick photos of what I could get to without digging it all out:

Does anyone know if it's worth much? I think my mum would prefer to get shut of it in one go rather than have people cherrypick all the good stuff.

Those seven white buckets are filled with scooter bits and the two scoots that are built up are a Vespa Douglas 150 and a Vespa P200E.

You need to search the web for scooter specialists and punt this stuff to them.

I'm no expert on scooters, but quite a lot of those parts look fairly modern, so it might not be worth fortunes; on the other hand, there might very well be a few gems lurking there and you never know with some of this old gear, sometimes the dullest looking thing can be the Holy Grail.

If you've got the time and inclination, the other way is shove it all on Ebay, in bundles of similar looking stuff, starting with a hi ball reserve and dropping it accordingly; what doesn't go in a few weeks, stick in a van and weigh it in.

Incidentally, which one is meant to be the Douglas?

Unless they did a recent recreation as some sort of marketing exercise, the silver one definitely isn't and the blue one looks far too new also; the Douglas association ended in the early 80s, proper British built Vespas stopped in the 60s.

Unless you're really into scooters your only option is to sell as a job lot as you'll never correctly identify most of the stuff to sell on fleabay or wherever.
Start with ChiselSpeed as they are still going in the area doing classic and modern scooters but also other specialists-there's a few of them about, to make sure your Mum isn't being ripped off.

Cheers guys, you've basically confirmed what I suspected. I'm pretty sure some of these bits will be valuable, but only to someone who know's what they're looking at so I will have to do some research.

The silver scooter is down on the V5 as simply 'Vespa Douglas 150', so I don't know what's going on there.

That one actually runs but we can't find the keys although I have found some locks with keys. It's only done 5k from new so ought to be worth something if I can get it taxed and tested
