Who's been round Cadwell?

There's a trackday this Sunday at Cadwell... I'm quite fancying it. I could ride the bike over if needs be...

Looks like quite a difficult circuit, and I'm a bit dubious of "the mount" - don't want to be crashing! What's it like?

The mountain is probably one of the places you are least likely to crash. You want to watch Coppice

It's a technical circuit, difficult to learn, but immense fun. The best bike circuit in the UK I reckon.

Brilliant circuit, yes the mountain is where some come a cropper but I reckon they're trying to leap out BSB style, or pull a huge wheelie away.
The throttle works both ways - that was my motto when I did my last!

Favourite circuit I've ridden. DON'T keep your throttle pinned over the mountain, of course.

It has got plenty to learn and is narrow compared to Snetterton (which is narrow compared to Silverstone).
Tight twisty stuff after the mountain, but also fast sweeping corners - a bit of everything.

They've smoothed the tarmac so it's harder to get both wheels in the air now.

Good day for it - Sunday should be dry and up to about 14 degrees so at least you won't have to worry about tackling it in the wet.

I did it last June, absolutely amazing!!

Best thing I've done on the bike ever.

Make sure you give it an hour after your last session before you ride home - need to break the track mode mentality as you go from gorgeous smooth perfect surface and out of Cadwell a lot of the roads were abysmal last time I rode there.
i got over brave on the hairpin and binned it near the end of the first session, but hopped back on second session and kept it upright after that.

Take sliders in case you fancy a go at kneedown, its an awesome feeling! I shoved some on in case, not expecting to get anywhere but ended up just touching the left twice and getting a good scrub on the right.

and the mountain isn't too bad going over it - back straight os weird when you pin it down there - you go down and before your body realised you're coming back up and it feels like you're being squished!

I kept hitting the red/white bit on the bottom of the mountain with my back wheel and staying meant forward coming over to stay planted, but i dare say easing off the throttle aw you hit the first crest would do
