I picked up my Bandit 600 this weekend. I know most of you don't like them but should be powerful enough for now coming from a 125. I wasn't too keen on the red text on the tank when looking at the pics on Ebay but it doesn't look too bad in person.

I was looking online at accessories for it and as the brake lever has had the little ball bit snapped off (would presume it was dropped but doesn't appear to be any other damage), I decided to check out the brake levers and noticed the different colors and wondered if it would look good with red brake and clutch levers along with red bar ends. Also wondered what red rim tape would look like so did a bit a photoshopping and this is what it'll look like (red rim tape I didn't do so well obviously).

Just want opinions on it.

If you like 'em, go for it!
It's your bike, do what you want to do to it, not what others tell you!
Following the crowd is, rarely, the right option!
Your only problem will be, you will have to contend with the BCF sticker police, who've already made an appearance in this thread! Rolling Eyes

He asked our opinion so that is what he is getting to be fair.

I don't like the red anodised stuff but the rim tape looks ok, but yea, what Sid said really - what ever floats your boat.

Ultmately do what you like on the bike, bollucks to what other people think.

Personally, as you asked - red on silver Sick only looks good on black bikes.

Silver looks best left i'd say. Or risk it all and chrome everything Whistle

Did you buy it to ride, or to admire in your garage?
If the former, save your money, buy petrol and tyres instead.
If the latter... Well, who was that chap that built a submarine out of old car tyres and called it art? There ain no accounting for taste, and if you think it makes your garage look pretty, all that matters really... personally I think the pile of old tyres would probably look better... but then I already have half such a sculpture as view from my kitchen window... though utterly unintensional... mere by-product of having different tyres for road and off-road for the Rangie!

That actually looks pretty good, my beef with Dommies is that they are just too fucking small and look way out of proportion with the comparatively huge mass of the Bandit behind them. Plus combined with the twin clock unit they create this sort of super-symmetrical look that cancels out the 'oddness/coolness' of having two of the same component mounted.

I'd stick with black levers and bar-ends, the bike looks fine as it is.

If you really want, paint the engine and pipes dark red, with little veins and arteries as highlights. Whenever anyone comments on this tell them it's not a bike it's a cyborg Thumbs Up

My opinion is, if you want /need opinions from strangers on the internet you have major problems.

Decent enough bike. Ride it and enjoy it. Thumbs Up

I don't think it looks too bad, my idea behind it was mainly to accompany the red text on the tank. I wasn't too keen on the red text when looking at pics of it but has grown on me since seeing it in person and would cost quite a bit to get it removed and changed to black text or something.

The red doesn't look too bad against the black handle bars/grips but just wanted to know what other people thought of it, and maybe suggestions on what to go for? Should I stick with the silver levers?

I thought you'd photoshopped the red tank text on Razz

My advice would be remove the red decal, save yourself money buying various red bits to accompany it, and buy this Wink
