Ok so I have a
Sachs x-road 125
08 plate
Moto Moroni engine ( 4t )

When I bought bike off PO he said he had to buy
A new cdi unit but never said if it was original one

So

My problem is , the bike dose not charge or hold charge
Th battery is new
The cdi is new
And I can't figure it out
When the bike starts ( with no problems I might add )
Everything works
But after a couple of day hey presto the battery dyes
But the only light that Carries on working is the head light

Battery dies
Indicators don't work
Tail light doesn't work
Horn doesn't work ect
But head light is going strong when all this happens
It's dull but when revved or rising light will stay bright
Until revs are dropped
Would this be due to the cdi being wired wrong and a constant current
Is going to the light instead of the battery
Or am I way off track ?

Thanks in advance for any help you can shed on this annoying problem Smile

Nothing to do with CDI
You have a charging system fault
Either the rectifier / regulator or the stator windings

I don't know the bike but would guess the rec/reg is the simplest /cheapish place to start

Head light is probably running on AC straight from it's own winding on the stator
The ignition will also have it own power winding in the stator
