Had my ear surgery 2 weeks ago so no surfing for 3 month, no ripping the moors apart on my KTM, no winter trip to Indo so had to find something to do.

Got hold of a CB250N 1979, stripped and already started the rebuild into a bit of a cafe surf bike.

Here are my carbs, stripped, rebuilt and polished with matt black mounting bars. Hope the rest of the bike will look this good!

(hope they still work though)

New matt black shocks, my own work, stripped to bare metal, etch primed then 3 coats of matt black. Came out pretty perfect, wish i was getting the springs powder coated now

Engine block, sand blasted back and new matt black spray and started to polish the aluminium gear casing and foot pedal plates.

Made my own ignition coil leads, pretty easy, all just screw into the coils BUT the fabric leads dont allow for the rubber stoppers to go back into the ignition coil correctly, ill have to re-think it possible, water might get in.

Use some heat shrink, overlength so it covers the caps and coil openings.

Extra benefit of waterproofing your fabric coating as well Thumbs Up
