Real Story.

Fiona Bruce reports on the winners who've made fortunes from the internet trading phenomenon eBay, and meets the losers who have been scammed or become addicted to buying rubbish.

Some people will be interested.

What a muppet she is!

Expect lots of people to be trying that guys tip, look for poorly listed items, buy them, then relist them and make a packet.

Intersting feature. I am about to start some serious trading on ebay - I have over a thousand albums (vinyl) & 12 inch singles from the 80's, a lot still in their original cellophane wrapper and in mint condition! I got them about 15 years ago as a job lot with soem other stuff I bought!

Any hints or tips you could give me??

Spend a lot of time making good item descriptions, do some research on eBay identifying which item titles do the best etc.

Look in to using selling manager pro - you'll never be able to keep on top of thousands of purchases with the standard interface.

I have just started eBaying, I generally go for "Power sellers" and people with a Feedback score above 97%, then I can trust them.

In fact I recieved the router I ordered from eBay today and it works brilliantly! Very Happy

I've bought a fair bit of stuff off Ebay over the last 2 years. Bought my bike, my lads scoot, a caravan ( for racing), a van, a car, various computer stuff and bits and bobs.
Been successful with all of the purchases and have sold things on there too and been very happy.
It's a case of checking up on the feedback, viewing the item if you can and being careful. Simple as that really.
I'm not saying you can't get 'done' but with a little thought and research you can minimise your chances of it considerably.
