Ah, he managed to find time out of his busy television/film schedule for the BBQ then? Did he say if there were any plans for a Hangover part 4?

Uh, no, I just imagine this is what people were imagining. I keep a picture of stinkwheel handy for... personal reasons.

Speaking of expectations, MCW was exactly as I'd imagined. Top notch.

Well the suntans have vacated the field, all is now eerily quiet. I imagine the ghostly sounds of two strokes being thrashed, and englishmen laughing.

The comedown has now reached its lowest ebb. The only way is up from here.

We did knock to say ta ta, but there was no-one in. Fantastic drive home up the A4069 then the A488. Brilliant roads. The Royal Welsh traffic slowed us down a bit though.

Many thanks for organising the whole thing Bubbs and especially for letting us stay on. It was really special to be able to stay in such a peaceful and beautiful spot for those extra days.

Photos will be posted in due course. Great weekend, absolutely great.

Rogerborg was exactly as I imagined except better looking, taller, more butch and more charming. Gave great gilet and has great knees too, two of them. And he was wearing pants under his kilt, I checked, a red lace thong as I recall.

Everyone else exceeded expectations on every level. Just can't wait to do it again.

There was some concern that you were going to tell Smiler that he looks like a young prince out of the Arabian Nights.

Called a Tempest with outputs for each voice. Wood panels because it's an analog innit.

Bill Bryson. My return to turning pages after a 5 year layoff.

I thought you were going to change it to Howling Raging Tempest. I have been looking forward to seeing your BCF name initials change accordingly.

Huh - weird. Just had a major lay off me sen, and then back in with a Bryson. 1927. Stalled about halfway cos of the Babe Ruth overkill, and too much Lyndburgh minutiae. But then I came to Italy and holy fucking crap, give me a book. Any book. Not been this bored for a long, long time.

Food's dire. Euro Spin and Conad (or Gonad as we've taken to calling it) are the only two supermarket chains and they're pitiful. Like post-war Poland. Make Aldi look like Harrods.

Hire a scooter. It was the only thing that got me through the costa del tedium years, which I don't suffer from now but still like to take an instrument of sorts for the lazy rainy days.

You'll be back on the fish finger butties in no time. Thumbs Up

Tried to get a scooter yesterday on lake Trasimeno - 125 for 50e a day or 250 for 70. It was like getting blood out of a stone, despite there being a line of 7 waiting to go.

These are two stroke, right?

[thames valley / italian accent]No - one stroke[/thames valley / italian accent]

No - erm. I mean as opposed to four. So are they pre mix or do they have a pump?

(Accent) - Yes. that's right.

Confused

Fine. So - the bigger grey one, that's a 250?

Yes.

Right good. May I rent that one?

Yes.

Splendid. Is it available for five days?

Yes.

Lovely. So I would like to book please?

For today?

Yes please.

That one is booked out for today.

Confused

Oh. So it's available for five days from tomorrow?

No.

Ah. Okay. So when from?

The day after.

Right, right. I see. Do you have any scooters that I could rent today please?

No sorry not for today.

Oh. That's weird. It's midday, you have a line of seven scooters but none of them for hire today.

Yes - could you come back on Friday?

Confused

(Nice guy but exquisitely annoying, I just thought fuck it pal this is retarded. Plus also 70 a day is a bit much really)

Also missing a sock? It crawled out of your tent as we were packing away. Last seen disappearing into the woods.
